Students will learn to sing the song “The Wheels on the Bus”

Transportation Mobile
Teacher will demonstrate a model
Note: students must bring a hanger from for their mobile

Extra Curricular Activities
Students who are done with their transportation mobile will be given an activity worksheet to work on.


Math
Review and discuss with students on Money

Allow students to explore money by providing each group set of coins.

Q&A: Begin to ask students questions

2. How much is one nickel?
3. How much is one penny?
4. How much is a quarter?

Students will count how many quarters, dimes, nickels, or pennies in each picture
Students will write correct number on line below picture

Allow students to explore their five senses with a partner

Review with students on their “sight” sense

Students will recite and sing “I Have Two Eyes” song tune to Mary Had a Little Lamb

Introduce “Smell” sense
Q&A:
Why is our smell sense important?
When we use our smell sense do you think it sends messages to our brain?
What does our brain tell us when we smell popcorn?

Activity:
“Smell” Sense – Guessing Game
Each group is given a set of containers with an item inside
Each group will guess what is in the container
The group that recognizes all three items will get a prize

Poem/Song:
Students will learn to sing the song “My Nose”
Song tune to One Little, Two, Three Little Indians”

Journal Writing
Students will write on their My Sense of Smell Journal
about what they learned today
Language Arts
Review and discuss with students on the Brown Bear story

Have students retell story on Brown Bear, Brown Bear

Q&A:
What animal comes before Teacher, Teacher?
What animal comes after Blue Horse, Blue Horse?
Have you ever seen a blue horse? purple cat?

Activity:
Students will draw and color which animal they like in the story
Students will write one sentence “I like the ______
because _______.”
Ex: I like the red bird because it is my favorite color.

Students are to color their transportation vehicles by following the number pattern as directed.

Students line up outside.
Teacher guide students into the classroom.
Take out shoes and place them on the rack as students enter classroom.
Take out “HOMEWORK” folder and place on teacher’s desk.

Go to the “GREEN” carpet and sit down.
On the Carpet

Teacher will take attendance.
Teacher will assign a student to bring attendance sheet to the office.
Students will sit in a circle.
Students and Teacher will sing Good Morning/Afternoon song.
Students will recite ESLRS and Peace Builder Pledge.
Students will sing Peace Builder song.
