PAPER PLATE CLOCK
Subject: Math
Materials: Paper plate, cardboard, scissors, pencil, crayons or markers, fastener
Procedures: - On the paper plate, draw the numbers of the clock (It helps to show the students that a circle can be divided into halves and quarters by placing first the 12, then the 6, then 3 and then the 9. Fill in the rest of the numbers.
- Make arrows out of cardboard for the hour hand and the minute hand.
- Fasten the arrows on the plate.
- Talk about time and what happens at what time of day.
- Make a game by putting on index cards the following questions, one per card, and then take turns showing the answers on the clock.
